How to start a website for a startup without coding using WordPress 🙂
The following guide is completely free from Technical details like coding and you can start a website in just 30 minutes of your time.
You may want to start a blog for your personal interest in sharing your knowledge for showing expertise in your Domain and also to start a small business from your living room or make money online with blogging.
Start a Website
So there are two things needed to start a website First one is a Domain and another one is Hosting.
A domain is like the name of your business and hosting is simply called a server where your website is rented.
so what’s a domain name, it’s the name of your business or the address like Microsoft.com, where Microsoft is the domain name.
you can buy a domain name from your hosting provider or any other websites (ICANN) Domain Provider websites like godaddy.com, namecheap.com etc.
Next coming to the Hosting, I have already said hosting is like renting a home, nobody can see what’s your hosting, but it’s the most important part for building a website because here you store all your FTP files and all other data regarding your website.

For Siteground Hosting click here
For DreamHost Hosting click here
So one of the major factors of hosting is the speed, if you choose shared hosting then on your server’s there may be other website hosted so we can say that the response server time may be reduced for your website. so we always need to choose a good hosting provider, but for a starter, you can go with Blueshost.com, or siteground.com, or Hostgator Hosting.
Here we will go through bluehost.com
First, click on the green Get Started Now button to get started.
On the next screen, choose the plan you need (the most popular are basic and plus).
After that, you’ll be prompted to enter your website’s domain name.
Eventually, to complete the process you’ll need to add your account information and finalize the product data.
We recommend that you go with the 36-month plan as it is the best value.
You will see the optional extras that you can buy on this screen. Whether or not you buy these is entirely up to you, but we generally don’t recommend buying them at once. When you feel you need them you can always add them later on.
Once completed, you will receive an email with details on how to login to your Control Panel (cPanel) web hosting. This is where, among other things, you handle everything from the service, emails. But most importantly, this is where WordPress is built.
When you sign up using our link with the new version of Bluehost they will install WordPress for you automatically. Recently released this latest edition to make it easier for non-techy users to build their blog.
What this means is that you just need to log in to your Bluehost account, and then click the WordPress Login button to get started.
Install a WordPress Theme:
Next, now your next part is adding a WordPress theme, After login into WordPress dashboard at the left side of the dashboard you’ll see some many options like a media, pages, post and appearances ETC just go to appearances and then select the theme option, here you can upload your premium theme or you can also select the already things which are available in WordPress Dashboard
In search theme bar you can find options like feature themes, popular themes, latest theme, favourite themes and feature filter, in the feature filter you can also select subjects like the blog, e-commerce education and etc and another feature is accessible to the ready custom background, custom colours
And you can also add layouts like the grid layout, one column,two-column and etc so if you apply those filter you can find many
themes which are free to use I suggest you use generate press theme because it is very lightweight and also fast and it looks premium and can be used for personal blogging.
Plugins are required for WordPress blog to add functionality to a website like a signup / sign-in buttons, social icons, checking traffic analysis etc
In your WordPress dashboard, below the appearance tab there is a plugin option if we click on plugins option, then click add new plugin option.
In search bar first what you have to do is search for the classic editor and install the classic editor plugin so you can write your post hassle freely and then again install other plugins like contact form 7, easy table of contents, google analytics for WordPress by monster insights and Yoast SEO, simple sharing icons for sharing your content, Mailchimp for building your audience through an email list, cache plugins to speed up your website like WP fastest or wpsmush.,
These are the bare minimum plugins to start a website or blog for your startup.
So after installing all plugins and activate them, then your dashboard will be filled with all plugins settings options,
and you need to set up the Yoast SEO plugin for search engine optimization of your website, I ‘ll write separate blog post-Yoast SEO and also do the settings for monster insights as it will help you analyze your website traffic performance and user behaviour.
so after setting up theme and plugins the next task is added content like blog posts, so go to post option of a plus symbol in WordPress dashboard and add a new post, in the editor you can add your desired posts with adding media option so this is the simple process of setting up a website without coding for a startup.
After adding enough content on your website and most important always after adding content you must promote it in social media like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and other social media sites you know.
Because promotion is a most important task for any type of website to grow and earn money from it, we can’t just rely on google to get traffic because google also has a parameter called social signalling for ranking a website so if you are getting google likes and upvotes then your website may rank higher for the required search keywords
Here are some of the best ways your blog could make money.
1. Google Adsense
Lots of bloggers make money by displaying ads on their site. If you’re building a monetized blog, then Google AdSense is the best way to do that.
For bloggers and publishers, it’s the largest advertising platform. Google acts as a middleman between you and the advertiser allowing advertisers to bid for keywords that match your content. This enables you to get the best rates for the ads possible.
2. Affiliate Marketing
The second most frequently used monetization strategy among bloggers is affiliate marketing. Basically, you are recommending your favourite products/services to your readers and you get a referral commission when they make a purchase.
The aim in affiliate marketing is to recommend goods and services of high quality which you already use and trust. There are plenty of WordPress affiliate marketing plugins and tools that can help you earn more money when promoting affiliate products.
3. Online Store
Many bloggers are making money by selling stuff straight from their blog. This may include physical items, digital downloads such as ebooks, works of art, music, and more. Some bloggers also have consulting services.
We recommend using WooCommerce since it is the best WordPress eCommerce plugin. It is also the world’s most frequently used eCommerce platform.
You can do so much more with your WordPress blog, in addition to the 3 methods above. You can create WordPress blogs specifically for reviews, fashion blogging, recreational food blogging and more. Each of these types of blogs offers you a more unique opportunity to make money.
